Community Fun Day Thanks

Saturday 7th July saw a frenzy of activity at the Centre and we want to thank all the various Volunteers, Staff & Traders who gave up their time and energy to help make it such an enjoyable day.

Additional thanks go out to all the Visitors that came to support the day and see what was going on despite the scorching heat and the World Cup Quarter Final.

Unfortunately the Barn Dance could not go ahead due to lack of numbers but next year we hopefully won’t be competing with the National Football Squad!

Everyone we spoke to on the day had a smile on their face and we look forward to being able to offer more community events in the future.

Tea & Tunes Review

The Tea & Tunes event last weekend (26th August 2017) was the first of it’s type and if the feedback is anything to go by, it won’t be the last with comments like:

This was a lovely trip down memory lane!

Will this be a regular event?

A selection of 40’s, 50’s and 60’s Music was provided free of charge by The Live 45’s and was very well received.  There was a lot of singing along and there was even dancing in the aisles!

A wonderful selection of cakes and biscuits were provided free of charge by our local Co-op on Cranleigh Road as part of their community fund.

Thank you Cranleigh Road Coop for the delicious donations for Tea and Tunes at the Beaufort Centre.

A massive thank you to all those that donated time, food, music and manpower to make it happen and to all those who attended, making it such an enjoyable afternoon.

A total of £50 in donations was raised which will continue to help
the centre moving forward.
